Factor Information
Data ID 3629
Factor major determinants of a higher cNCR (impaired NCR) in the complex patients: log LF
Description log LF (low frequency component of the heart rate variability)
Biomarker NA
Classification A6 (clinical factor - other)
Association
Application treatment and prognosis
Objective To investigate the negative chronotropic response (NCR) to low-dose atropine in postoperative patients with congenital heart disease (CHD).
p Value <0.0001
Conclusion Lower values of cPST, right ventricular ejection fraction, log HF and higher values of log LF and ANP were major determinants of a higher cNCR (impaired NCR) in the complex patients (p<0.0001), this was especially true for lower log HF and higher ANP.
Risk Factor unknown

Title Negative chronotropic response to low-dose atropine is associated with parasympathetic nerve-mediated cardiovascular response in postoperative patients with congenital heart disease.
Sample
Population All (9-36 years)
Source patients
Region Osaka, Japan
Method NCR corrected for basal heart rate (HR) (minimal HR/basal HR=cNCR) was determined after low-dose atropine (3 Ag/kg) administration and was compared with the cardiac autonomic nervous and functional status.
