Description Of 11 patients in group 1, 2 patients died after operation, both of consequences of unrelieved right ventricular hypertension, and the others did well postoperatively.five of the eight patients in Group 2 had right ventrlcular failure preoperatively; three had clinically significant arrhythmias and three died after operation (two of low cardiac output and one of arrhythmias).
