Factor Information
Data ID 3895
Factor Frequency of distal displacements of palmar axial triradius and Multiple Axial Triradii( palmar main line)(total, white race)
Description a patient with a pathologic heart murmur who has a midpalmar triradius or a hypothenar pattern with 2 axial triradii has a better statistical chance of having congenital heart disease as opposed to acquired heart disease.
Biomarker NA
Classification A12 (clinical factor - treatment)
Association
Application risk assessment
Objective To compare the frequency of proximal position of the palmar axial triradius (t or t' location) between the patients with acquired heart disease and congenital cardiac disease.
p Value 0.0000634
Conclusion It was noted that a proximal position of the palmar axial triradius (t or t' location) occurred with significantly greater frequency in the patients with acquired heart disease or conversely, that a more distal location of the axial palmar triradius was significantly more frequent in the group with congenital cardiac disease.
