Factor Information
Data ID 3967
Factor clinical index of neurodevelopment
Description RED and BLACK refer to the clustered classification of patients obtained by the principal component analysis of metabolomic urinary NMR spectra
Biomarker NA
Classification A3 (clinical factor - disease & symptom)
Association
Application prognosis
Objective To evaluate whether the metabolic clustering show a good prognostic performance on neurodevelopmental outcome.
p Value 0.01
Conclusion Metabolic profiles belonging to the RED cluster showed higher levels of accumulation of citric acid cycle intermediates and glucose compared to the profiles in the BLACK cluster, indicating a possible switching to anaerobic metabolism. Patients belonging to the RED cluster were significantly more prone to show an adverse neurodevelopment pattern .
